Motor Home Memories
In the mid summer of 2016, Mr. & Mrs. Reed contacted Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County to donate their motor home. The couple retired couple wanted to move out of San Jose to join their youngest son and his family in Boston. They wanted to dispose of their unused motor home.
Mr. & Mrs. Reed and their three children moved to San Jose, CA from Pennsylvania in early 1978. The family enjoyed the life in California and in 1979, they bought a motor home for the recreational travel. The kids were thrilled that they were able to do more camping trips with their parents. They visited places such as Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park, Big Sur, Lake Tahoe, etc. The kids’ favorite place was Lake Tahoe and they took advantage of opportunity to go there. The most memorable trip was trip to Pennsylvania when they traveled to see their grandparents and cousins in the summer of 1983. All three kids are now grown, have their own families and live out of state. The memories of the their childhood and the family trips in their motor home will stay forever with them. Catholic Charities received both their motor home and also the wonderful memories.
